Senior UX/UI Designer

Job description

Are you interested in joining a hyper growth SaaS scale-up in Amsterdam as our Senior UX/UI Designer? After a further $15mn of funding, team expansion is of key importance for us. Harver, an unusual recruitment software company is searching for a Senior UX/UI Designer to make our product even more lovable, remove complexity and come up with crazy ideas every day! 

You will be responsible for supporting the company in hitting product milestones, maintaining a high bar of user experience and help our clients get the most out of the Harver platform. Big challenge? Improving our design systems and improving our data visualisations for companies like Heineken, Netflix and Booking.com, not to mention achieving better collaboration throughout the company.

YOUR IMPACT AS THE NEW SENIOR UX/UI DESIGNER

Working with the Product Team, the Head of Product Johan, and your Aussie peer Josh your responsibilities will be to:

  • Help us translate complex business processes into an intuitive and appealing product
  • Help choose and setup tools for user research and contribute to definition of product usage KPI’s
  • Perform (internal & external) user research (both qualitative and quantitative)
  • Contribute to product concepts and help this way to elaborate the product vision in a visual way
  • Deliver (cross-device) UX assets such as customer journeys, user flows, wireframes,  interactive (rapid) prototypes.
  • Deliver detailed (cross-device) UI designs
  • Enhance our design system and set the foundation for standardisation of our brand experience
  • Contribute to the Product roadmap
  • Safe-guard the design quality of the deliverables

Requirements

Well... we are looking for someone who has experience in both User Experience and User interface design on a SaaS product, but also has a strong feeling for visual design and is able to take ownership to translate our brand into the product and bring the design to a next level. 

  • 5 years of experience in UX/UI design (or equivalent experience)Product design experience – proven by portfolio - this will be on a SaaS products.
  • Expert user of standard industry tools like Sketch and Invision
  • Experience in defining customer flows and seeing through complexity
  • Experienced in collecting feedback, understanding user behavior and performing usability testing
  • Thorough understanding of defining and validating assumptions
  • Experience with defining design systems, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, UI designs
  • Know how to work with development teams
  • Communicative to stakeholders, internal users, PO’s  and the development team
  • Experience working in an Agile product organisation
  • Creative and fast in concepting (rapid prototype style
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Data visualisation experience is a plus (ideal)
  • Psychology or behaviour science related study (ideal)
