Lead QA Engineer

Job description

Core Stack: Cucumber, Selenium (Webdriver), Javascript/Node.JS 

As a Lead QA and Automation Engineer you will be an integral member and leader within Harver’s product and engineering organization. You should always be striving to improve; looking for ways to make our product more robust and ensure high levels of confidence in our production stability.


You will:

  • Drive and deliver automation that allow us to regularly release to production with confidence.
  • Have a clear understanding and vision of the QA role throughout the Software development lifecycle: from requirements gathering to post-release.
  • Have a strong appreciation of modern agile methodologies such as BDD, CI and mob programming.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of QA engineers

You should have excellent coding skills together with an appreciation for good software engineering principles and practices. By this, we mean understanding the value of technical agile practices such as Behavior Driven Development (BDD), CI/CD and trunk-based development. Furthermore, you should show the maturity to mentor and lead by example in promoting these qualities throughout the team.

Requirements

Essential attributes

  • You have at least an undergraduate level of education
  • You understand and appreciate the value of tools such as Cucumber and Selenium
  • You can code. Primarily in Javascript with an understanding modern async programming with Promises and async functions.
  • You have the ability to self manage and take care of changing requirements
  • You are never satisfied. Always looking to improve and go one step further.
  • You like to fail, succeed, and learn together, but also like to have some fun whilst doing so
  • You have significant experience working in an environment of continuous production delivery.
